OccupyLA: small, "peaceful and stable"

Eric Richardson reports that Occupy LA has commenced with "peaceful and stable" crowds. Around noon, the protesters were moved to the north end of City Hall, indicating a small crowd, and perhaps to move the protestors away from spying distance of the LA Times offices.
#blogdowntown and #occupyla are best twitter feeds. Report (unconfirmed, please check if affected): LAPD tells some protestors that they will be allowed to sleep on the sidewalk tonight, provided they don't obstruct ped traffic.
UPDATE: Eric @ 2:23 And back to South Lawn. "South Lawn version of Occupy LA is very pastoral. This is probably what City Hall looked like in the 70's." Indeed, except for the monstrosity to the southeast.
UPDATE II: Crowd at 2:30 estimated to be 1,000.
Meanwhile, Occupy Wall St. protestors are blocking Brooklyn Bridge.
