Krekorian's office: meeting not secret

A little over a month ago, reps from Councilman Paul Krekorian's office met with four community activists regarding several items related to land use in the community. Krekorian's office has released a statement regarding a particular meeting. It follows.
The councilman regularly holds office hours with constituents to address a wide variety of issues. He's done this since taking office and holds meetings with constituents who request his time in his offices in City Hall, North Hollywood and Sunland-Tujunga. On, July 28, 2011, the Councilman held an office hours meeting with Elaine Brown, Nina Royal and others. The group freely discussed a broad range of ideas, including the Foothill Boulevard Specific Plan, SB 1818, the K-Mart property and other issues relating to the Sunland-Tujunga community. It was an open, pleasant and informative meeting allowing us to continue working together on the best path forward for the community.
The Council office also says:
Any insinuation of secrecy ... is patently false.
