Admin tweet makes CSUN situation curioser

Like everyone else, I'm trying to get more information on the situation with the purported gun possession incident in the Oviatt Library at CSUN. Meanwhile, I'm still trying to figure out what this CSUN tweet means. Do college students need "proper notification" to leave campus these days? Or is it not OK to leave campus until they say it's OK, even though there is no word of a lockdown? Doesn't everybody feel uncomfortable, on campus and off, when a gunman is reported on campus at 10:30 and there's been no real university updates in three subsequent hours?

A student notes that as of 1:30 p.m., the original report is still unsubstantiated, with no additional details offered, a full three hours after the robocalls went out. We hope that suggests good news; but CSUN's lack of official administrative updates on the matter have frustrated many concerned people.

Here is CSUN's campus newspaper's page, which has fared a little better on updates than University administration.
