CA hi-speed rail jobs...for China?
Maybe: Try not to make your trip look like you're shipping California jobs and contracts abroad.
State Senator Kevin de León posted the above two days ago. And below, that's State Senator Kevin de León on the left, meeting with representatives of the China Railway Construction Corporation earlier today in Beijing.
De León explained it this way, before he left on his trip to Asia: "I'm meeting with the leading Chinese businessmen in my community to learn more about where my emphasis should be and how I might use this trip to benefit their trade and economic development activities." In short, he's meeting with Chinese officials to learn how Chinese Americans in his district might benefit from the State's coming hi-speed rail project. But the way he's facetweeting it, it may not look that way.
