This is so patently clumsy it can only serve the purpose of drawing more attention to the fact that some purchasable Democrats like Jay Carson are supporting Austin too. Carson's involvement with Beutner's campaign has made some malleable types on the Democratic side consider supporting decline-to-state Beutner.
Try this prose on for size and see how it sits with you, knowing that it ws scripted by a Beutner fundraiser:
Austin Beutner, though a phenomenally successful Wall Street investment banker, is less the scene-stealing leading man and more like your really normal uncle (if your uncle owned a private jet). He is polite and courteous, humble and patient. And though his wealth and power eclipse that of any entertainer ever, he generally travels alone without the usual (or expected) coterie of hangers-on. In every way, Beutner is a shocking contrast to the typically bombastic and overstated higher-office seeker.Should a guy who is hosting a fundraiser...
... be writing stuff like this?
Hah hah. I was misinvited by Beutner's Republican web-fundraisers to this event myself, and really trying hard to avoid all mention of it, and was a little reticent to publish the invite after doing the Trutanich-Ek-Shallman one, but I see K-Rod obligingly blew the whistle on it anyway. Good for him!
