Bad Boys Walk--Enjoy Your Weekends!
Scot free: LA's most notorious, Milton Bradley left, Mike Trujillo right, free as birds tonight.
Perhaps you just got back into town. If so, Jon Regardie of the Downtown News has summarized the past few weeks of the Huizar-Martinez race. He sees the race going to "the one who just stops punching himself in the face." That reminds me of an old chess adage: the winner of a chess game is the one who makes the next-to-last mistake.
Also, in news arriving after Downtown News print time: the City Attorney and District Attorney's offices have determined that both former Dodger outfielder Milton Bradley and former Huizar shortstop Michael Trujillo have made no chargeable threats.
In Bradley's case, "neither the identity of the woman nor details of the alleged threats were released by authorities."
In Trujillo's case, "prosecutors who reviewed the e-mail said there was not enough evidence that Trujillo's words should be taken as a threat."
To quote former Yankee great Cyril Connolly: "Those whom the gods would destroy, they first call promising."
