Lots of people suddenly think that there is something wrong with the way Democrats in America do business. I am not among these. The left still appeals to critical thinkers; the right still appeals to goose-steppers. There's no question that the goose-steppers march better; that's what makes them goose-steppers in the first place.

Ace Smith, Parke Skelton and John Shallman sit up a bit straighter this morning as the State's FPPC orders a crackdown on misleading campaign mailers.
We are assured from readers that Bill Rosendahl is actually a good guy, something I still much doubt from observing his Council antics and the way his district keeps cultivating its provincial intolerance of the dispossessed. But we received no such reassurances regarding Jill Stewart or Joe Barrett. Jill has been in the business of teacher vilification for a long time; Joe not so much until now. The UTLA will undergo a leadership change next month; now is not a time to bust the chops of one of the local Democratic Party's most dependable friends.
