A separation too for Spaceland. The old guard hired someone the partners couldn't agree on. Now Spaceland will become The Satellite and the old Spaceland will gravitate like a comet to another eastside haunt yet to be determined. If that makes sense to you. I'm optimistic.
Carmen the Clown attracted the attention of the Daily News for shutting down an effective program. Such a little retaliatory child. Bill Carter says something stupid as usual--"We need to give every prosecutor a shovel"--apparently because there's a muzzle on Jane Usher, but no muzzle on stupidity in Carmen's 18th floor digs. If the CA were more effective at heading off cases before they got to court, they wouldn't spend so much time rolling the dice once there. But Carmen the Clown doesn't see how trying to impose million-dollar-bails on misdemeanors saps attorney time too.
Bummer that Mark Kristi has pneumonia. Get well soon, guy.
We understand Paul Krekorian is sitting up straighter in the hopes of becoming City Attorney should Carmen become District Attorney. I'd rate the chances of all that happening as about one in five. Were Cooley to win, Carmen would have to be installed by the County Supes, and it looks like there are three natural votes against.
Luke interviews a guy big in comics, Brian Haberlin.
Marc Fornes tomorrow at Sci-Arc at 7 p.m. for the design set. A very young guy who thinks of architecture as code, &c.
