I for one was not disappointed, not like most my fellow lefties–I simply felt that, once again, California led the nation, showing the way, and now we must tediously wait while the rest of the country catches up again. We in California have already had our Tea Party Moment–his name was Schwarzenegger–and when he turned out to be an angry man to ordinary people–schoolteachers, nurses, public safety people–he lost his way, and never recovered. So it will be for the folks in the Ohio Valley who think that anti-government government will ultimately work in the interest of the people. And sooner rather than later; watch what happens when Republicans cause someone to miss a paycheck.
In fact, recently I've been far more disturbed by local politics than by state or national politics. It seems the stresses of local life have caused some people to take some very unseemly shortcuts. Still contemplating this, and we'll have further thoughts on the local picture soon.
We will get it all together, that much I know for sure.
